EFFECTS OF AMF- AND PGPR-ROOT INOCULATION AND A FOLIAR CHITOSAN SPRAY IN SINGLE AND COMBINED TREATMENTS ON POWDERY MILDEW DISEASE IN STRAWBERRY

Effects of AMF- and PGPR-root inoculation and a foliar chitosan spray in single and combined treatments on powdery mildew disease in strawberry

Trials were carried out using, as a root inoculants, mixed Glomus spp.(G.mossae, G.caledonium, and G.fasiculatum) and Bacillus subtilis FZB24, and the plant activator N, O-carboxymethyl chitosan applied as a foliar spray. The treatments were applied singly and in combinations, on strawberry plants grown out of season in a greenhouse. Both fruit yield

Genotypes, Antibiotic Resistance, and ST-8 Genetic Clone in Campylobacter Isolates from Sheep and Goats in Grenada

Rectal swabs from 155 sheep and 252 goats from Grenada Decor - Easter were evaluated to determine the prevalence of Campylobacter spp., antibiotic resistance, and multilocus sequence types.Fifteen Campylobacter isolates were obtained (14 C.jejuni and 1 C.coli).The prevalence (3.7%) did not differ significantly between sheep (4.5%) and goats (3.2%).

Optimization of truss structures by a stochastic method

This paper presents an original stochastic method of optimization (PGSL) for optimum design of truss structures.PGSL (Probabilistic Global Search Lausanne, developed at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology at Lausanne) has been inter-faced with a finite element code, then applied and tested on several size optimization problems of plane truss
